I am looking at picking up a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, but the only size that I can find is 245/45/18. I was thinking of putting this size at all 4 corners, but would this cause a problem with the VDC or have a detrimental effect on handling. I could go with Pilot Sports, but I would like something that I could drive in the snow in an emergency situation since my winter beater blew a head gasket last week.

 

Go with 245/40/18 in front. This will not affect VDC, and will lesson the understeer built into the car. For the rear stick with the 245/45/18 or go with 255/45/18 for a little wider tire.
