Are wheels locks necessary?
Hi everybody,
I just have a question about wheel locks. I bought some new SF challenges and they came with Volk lugs. My friends were saying I need wheel locks or my wheels will get stolen, but if volk lugs have a special key, is that protection enough? I'm just asking because I've got blue lugs and would lvoe to use those instead, but if it's at a risk fo losing my baby's precious shoes then I will just stick with the locks. Thanks for reading and I appreciate all responses.

Hey Alvin,
Do you have the Extended Lug Nuts?
These have 6 sided and 7 sided and they come with two different wheel locks. So IMO its pretty tough to bust them loose. Is that what you have?

Personally, I would get the locks. Within 24 of getting my wheels someone stole the valve caps. Not that this is a major set back but I did have wheel locks so who knows what may have been taken.

I'd suggest you get a set of locks....just cuz you never know. better safe than sorry.
i used the lugnuts that Rays included with rims and also an additional wheel lock. so i have two adaptors/keys need to remove the rim(s).

I would get the wheels locks and get the Z stem caps while you are at it. www.courtesyparts.com.
Also post pics of your wheels.
