C5 Vette wheels- work in a pinch?
Got 2 days of autocross this weekend, desperate for 2 wide wheels to finish mounting my new rubber. They're 18x10.5, think they're forged, 21LB, ET+58. Found some 5x114 to 5x120 adapters locally that are 30mm thick, so effective offset would be +28 (just fine for my purposes- not looking for flush look). While I don't like the idea of using an adapter, this is for a relatively low-speed obstacle free autocross, and probably just for one weekend. I'm sure they're plenty out there who think it would look ridiculous, or just sounds absurd- please, no need to chime in about that. I can't think of a reason why this necessarily wouldn't work- can anyone else?

Would work fine out back, need a slightly more offset up front

Yeah, this is for the back. If I get it to work I'll post my findings. Seems OEM vette wheels can be had cheap. In my area I've found the forged ones for $200/pair, cast for $225/set of 4 (haven't considered using the fronts- they're 17's). Their specs and look can vary quite a bit depending on year/sub-model, but there are at least a few cast and forged 18x10.5 that weigh 21LB- mighty cheap, pretty light, and doubt they're junk.

Those 10.5's are what you want to run up front
