Default Question on 245/40 18" on the front Performance wheels.

Ive been reading a lot of good things about the new Good Year Eagle F1 GS-D3 and the thread pattern seems like it wont feather like the OEM RE040s so id thought id give them a try. Only problem is, they dont make the 225/45 18 for the front wheels on the Performance so i was wondering if putting 245/40 18 on the front and 245/45 18 on the rear would be a cause for any concerns with the TCS/VDC and speedo?

Do any of you think this combo would make the car look bad? Im expecting the steering will be a lil bit heavier at low speeds and the car will more likely oversteer instead. How else will this affect driving compared to the OEM tires?

That is a good combo some here have used or same widths with 45 or 40 on both. I went with 45 on both but next time I will go with 40 on both.

The 245/40 and 245/45 combo works out very well with stock wheels. The understeer problem we have is improved with this set up. You could also put 255/45s on the back with no problems, if you wanted a little wider tire.
