I'm still interested to know if the JWL stamp is because they are actually tested or because the mold included it. I would assume it's illegal to have the stamp if they are untested due to safety concerns.

No one sent those wheels to Japan for testing.

"The SB manufacturing process starts with the melting of scrap aluminum, and then the liquid metal is transferred and injected into four, low-pressure die-cast molding machines."

No, thanks, not in my car.

If anyone has these you should post your experience with them, I stumbled on them the other day too and I'm reasonably skeptical even after seeing their video.

Its not illegal at all. Jwl is only valueable in japan. If its made anywhere else in the world, it can be stampped jwl without actually tested and face no consequences as long as they dont sell in japan.

^^^^ Quite true.... it's a mfgr's word that it conforms to the JWL wheel standard. It really holds no weight here in the states. If you want to make sure the wheel actually does conform, look for the "VIA" marking on the wheel next to the JWL casting.

I've had mine for about 3 weeks now with no issues - no shaking or anything. They are OK for me.

Not that I would get rid of my volks but if/when I sell the car and if I didn't still have my stock rims? Meh, maybe if the classifieds were dead but not for me

Any pics/specs (spacers, off sets, tire size) recliner?
