I have a 2005 350z and I'm thinking about getting some custom wheels. I've been looking at the Drag DR-34's and I was thinking about going with the 8.5" wide 18's. I'd like them to stick out a little more and kinda give it that beefier look. Does anyone know what offset I should use that would not rub under any condition? They don't have to be all the way out to the edge of the fender or anything and the car isn't going to be lowered, just a little further out and not rub would be great. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Usually flush fitment are 18x9.5+15F and 18x10.5+15R
Not lowered or rolled. The car is 100% stock as it sits right now. Just looking to get some better looking wheels than stock and if I could get them a little closer to flush with the fender that'd be great, but not a deal breaker. I definitely don't want them pulled in any more. I just don't want them to rub on anything. Thanks for the reply!
So an 8.5 18" with a +24 offset on the front would work like a champ? No rubby rub?
That's what I just got...18's.... 8.5 front with a 25 offset and 9.5 rear with 15 offset and it's perfect. 255 40 tires up front and 275 40 in back. No rubbing or any modification needed on stock suspension. Pics for reference.
Suspension: Tein s-Tech springs (0.6” drop front and 0.7” drop rear), Bilstein B8 Shocks
Wheels: 18x8.5”offset 25mm front and 18x9.5” offset 15mm rear
Tires: 245/40-18” front and 275/40-18” rear
I don’t have any rubbing, front or rear… however… I think that my front wheels have too much offset and they should be wider. And… a 30mm width difference in tires front to rear is too much and compromises handling.
Looking carefully at the bottom picture, you can see the front wheels are too "tucked-in." A 9.5 x 18" with 15mm offset would look better, and provide a greater range of tire selection.
i ran 255/40 275/40 combo... for me it squared up the shoulder of the tire some
You know im a baller on a budget, I was going to do the sumitomo htr z 3 tires and they are not available in 275/40/18...
I would do 255/40 265/40 but I dont think the vdc would appreciate that..
I took down my ghetto garage the other day so now I actually see the car all the time and I do just wish the anniversary wheels had a better size and offset, better then most factory wheels out and about. I just don't want to do spacers.
you can get BFG sport comp 2 in those sizes from tire rack for 716 plus shipping. i liked those tires, grippy and noticeably wider that the v12s i had before them
Thats what I have now, they are very grippy. Probably why I dont think I need anything bigger than 245 because they stick like glue right now. My other set of wheels has some all season sumitomo tour plus lsw brand new garbage and they are not so great.

I have hrz3 in 275/40R18... idk what you talking bout dawg.
Ok, I've found some that she likes. They're 18" 8.5 with a +25 offset. Is that going to line up nice or are the front wheels going to look like they're sticking out further than the backs?
