Lug nuts coming loose
Hello everyone so the other day I noticed when taking off my original wheels the aluminum splined lug nuts I had were all coming loose in spots after drives and then u put my other wheels on 17x10 squared and it causes rubbing in multiple spots so I put on bolt on 15 mm spacers and after that it sounded fine until I went on a longer drive and noticed the wheels cloning loose and the back was rubbing the tire on fender, so my question is are my lugs bad the the rubbing is causing them to back out or is it something else. Thank you I’m open for more questions to try and help me figure this out!

If your original wheels are OE, splined lug nuts probably aren't seating correctly. OE lugs and tuner lugs such as splined units, have the improper taper. Very dangerous situation. If your 17x10s are aftermarket, the splined tuner lugs probably work for those. Read this post (and thread) so I don't need to re-type

Before anyone can answer intelligently, specs on both sets of wheels/tires. Specifically, offset and tire sizes.

so my wheels are 17x10 squared +20 offset with 15 mm spacers all around to stop rubbing on my inner barrels, tires are 265 Toyo proxes, and yes the rounded splined lugs are a must with them and there the only lugs that fit inside the hole. I think my old aluminum lugs were just loosing thread quality and the rubbing is causing them to back off themselves, even on my original wheels with no rubbing they are backing out slower so I assume the rubbing is just increasing how fast they self loosen and rollin the fenders is my best bet and new set of lugs.
So far as your lugs, still don't know what wheels you were using them on. But again, if they were OE and you read the link, you'd see that those splined (assuming tuner) lug nuts DO NOT work on OE wheels and will work themselves loose quickly.

Ok so my spacers are bolt on because the slip on ones I had to extend the studs. And the wheels before we’re not oem but same specs as oem that’s why I have splined ones. And they were rubbing on the inner barrels that’s why I have the bolt on spacers my issue now is I’m rubbing fender so I’d that rubbing resistance causing the lugs to come loose since there relatively old and I use a impact wrench. As far as the fronts go I’m not sure if I’m rubbing on spindle still I’m pretty sure I’m not because that’s why I put the bolt on spacer on. So for them to loosen in the front to I’m assuming it’s because the backs are coming loose from the rubbing on fenders and front is coming loose after from the vibration. Does this make sense

So your are running bolt on spacers. I hate those for anything less than 20mm, but that’s another story.
take your wheels off , and take a picture of the backside of your wheel. I bet you don’t have a pocket for the OEM stud o go in and your bolting your when to the studs, and not the hub flange.
17x10 at +20 should not need spacers to clear

So your saying the studs from my oem rotor are poking thru to much and hitting the backside of my wheel? I don’t think that’s the case, the wheels sits flat on my spacer, and the aluminum lugs I have forsure have worn down threads so that’s why I was assuming the extra resistance is causing the bad lugs to back off. And yes I need spacers I wouldn’t put them on if I didn’t, I’m slammed on my nuts so natural camber causes running on parts without them, all in all if I saw something off I would have said it I’m asking this because there is no sign of anyting wrong besides the life and fender rubbing, I use a impact wrench so it’s possible I just over torqued them to much that’s why my life are bad. I just need someone to explain why putting on new wheels has causes a unlimited amount of problems when simple spacers to give clearance are now making my studs come more loose then they were on my old 18x9 wheels, because they weren’t unthreading instantly they would slowly Un screw themselves.
fender liner rub would not cause your lugs to loosen, plain and simple
if you used an impact gun and not a toque wrench with aluminum lugs you prog jacked the threads of the lugs. get some steel ones and see what happens (which most people would have done initially without going back on forth on a forum for days). if you cant afford them, maybe you should get out of sports cars

Lmao your a clown for replying like that I hope your not a old man 😂🤣 I already bought some *** I just was looking for other knowledge cause this hasn’t happened before go buy yourselves some new panties buddy.
I can afford some ****in lug nuts it’s called asking around because I do everything on my own and learn on my own so before I do the work and buy parts I’m gonna ask around to see if that even the case. if your not gonna be any help and just be negative go **** your self because your the reason the car community if full of dicks. I simply just want a 2 sense since I do everything on my own and have learned all on my own. So no I won’t stop cars for asking a question *******. I would rather gain knowledge and do it myself unlike a lot of people taking it places and then enjoy my work.
Nah lol I’m a therapist lmao I deal with ****** like you on a daily just had to point out your ******** cause it’s embarrassing taking your time on a ****in forum people ask for help on to be a dick just keep in mind how childish you are bro and the worst part is your probably way older then me 🤣 embarrassing .
