Default Quick question about SF challenge

Hey guys, just a couple quick questions:

I was thinking about doing 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. I saw somebody else had 10.5's in the rear..any specific benefit to that? If I were to do the 8.5 and 9.5, what offset should I be looking for? Also, will big brake kits fit with no problems?

As for tires, will a 40 series tire work ok with rubbing being an issue? I plan on putting springs on the car as well...

no advantage to the 10.5 rear other than looks.

for offsets, any good vendor will recommend the proper offsets for the car that will fit without rubbing and also alow for a big brake kit in the future.

245/35 and 275/35 tends to be the size of choice for those with 19's...it becomes especially important if you have the VDC on your car as it is very sensitive to proper tire sizing.

No VDC on the car I read one members post saying that if he wanted to drop the car with these wheels he would need to roll the fenders...I want to stay away from doing that..so I need to know the right offset. I saw another post (the red Z with these wheels) that I believe had +23 in the front and rear, did drop his car, but had no rubbing issues....Just trying to find out what I need to do.

22-24 offset is perfect for 8.5/9.5 combo even with a dropped ride height. Some go with 9.5/10.5 but you do have to alter fenders.

Ummmmmm??????

The advantage is having the option to run a wider tire.

A 10.5 is going to accomodate a 345ish tire, whereas you could only dream about that on a 9.5" wheel.

As for fender alterations... no biggie.

PM me if you have any questions, or call Doug down at the shop. He is running 9.5f 10.5r Kinesis. www.crawfordzcar.com

D@ActiveTuning:
i just had my lemans sunset outfitted with gunmetal SF-Challenges this past week. i went with 19x8.5 +24 front and 19x9.5 +27 in the rear since this is what 350zforums.org recommended. as far as tire sizes i went with 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear and the car sits perfectly level in my opinion. after some lowering springs the look will be complete. the guy at 350zforums.org also told me that these offsets will allow for a big brake kit to fit when i get ready for that mod. hope this was of some help. GREAT CHOICE ON WHEELS!!!!

yes 10.5 don't really have any advantage only look, it weight more then the 9.5, if you get 10.5 it usually has to be special order.

su3350z, can you e-mail me pictures? I'm really dying to see how the gunmetal looks on the lemans...You can send them to dave@activetuning.com thanks!

You got +24/+27, I've been told to do +19 and +22....Curious as to what I should do.

Looks awesome oblivion! Yeah I definitely want the capability to fit a big brake kit into the front and rears....so considering that, what offset should I be looking for? This is on a 8.5 front and 9.5 rear wheel. Remember also, that I want to drop the car as well.

How low do you want to drop it? I used the stoptech template to see if the calipers will fit the rim. On the front is ok but the back will just barely make it. You might want to go with a high pad rim to fit bigger brakes but you might lose some lip.

D- I'm running 19x8.5 +21 offset front and 19x9.5 +23 offset rear. The front offset fits over my factory Brembos. I'm not postive that they would fit over a 6 piston caliper.

Ohhhh nice! And absolutely no rubbing issues at all? Even on like hard bumps? Or hard turns?

How's the ride compared to stock?
