Default Light-weight 18"s

I'm looking at getting some new wheels soon, most likely 18" for three reasons: performance, the number of crappy roads in my area (I hear 19"/20" dent easily on bumpy roads), and tire costs. I understand Volk and BBS are very light weight; what are some other brands that are similar in weight? Any help would be appreciated, esp. on wheel size and offset (performance minded setup).

Right now I'm really interested in the Volk GT-P's and Daytona Speed wheels but I can't find pics of them on a Z anywhere. If you've got a pic of them on a Z, could you please post it? Thanks

Enkei RPF1 wieght no more than TE37 for half the price. And before somebody starts arguing that Volk is superior stuff... consider fact that Enkei supply wheels to McLaren F1 team

But they don't clear the StopTechs. Well, maybe the 18s do but the 17s certainly don't (from spoke interference rather than barrel clearance).

Enkei does not show a fitment for the Z in a 17...while one might get on there, its not a recommended size.

The RPF1 in an 18 (18x8.5 18x9.5 are a great choice, and very affordable.

SSR Competition is another good choice

BBS - some are light some are not..some are forged some are not, so all deoends on style, budget etc

Keep us updated if you ever get these. I havent seen anyone that has done this setup, so you should be the first.

FYI: You may see bad articles about these on the internet about how they bend easily, but discount tire responded to these claims by explaining how it was a manufacturing error that has been corrected. Regardless, I would still get these. Just like any forged set of wheels, you should be carefull.

eml me if you want more pics.

Z1,
Why do you keep saying that Enkei does not make a 17 for the Track Z ?

Straight off their website :

17 x 8.5 40 offset Front 16lbs
17 x 9.0 35 offset Rear 15.9 lbs

These will fit a Track Z. This is what I'm looking for. Can you come up with a GREAT PRICE ?????
