Default Falken FK-451 vs. Nitto 555

I am thinking of getting new wheels and tires. I found these two tires that fits my budget but i dont know which one is better. The nitto's are a little bit more money. Anyone have pros and cons of each? Which one is overall better? thanks

Based on my350z.com customer response the Falken is getting overwhelming ratings for best bang for the buck. Its great in the rain as well as dry grip.

i have the falkens on all 4 corners...very nice tire, and very cheap. grips well, and it is pretty predictable at the limit. only drawback is that they are a lil noisey.

my mother also uses em on her mercedes CL500...

have the falkens, they are a very good wet tire, and a good around town tire, my experience on the track is they get a bit greasy when they get really hot. not bad, and they def. talk to you to let you know. but a little greasier than i like. but for the money, an AWESOME tire.

I also have the Falken 451's. Compared to the stock rubber, the Falkens grip much better. I now have a hard time breaking the tires loose around a turn, they also look great. I am using 245's in the front and 275's in the rear. I also have noticed the road noise is a bit high with these tires, don't know how they compare with the 555's but I have been very happy with the Falkens.

451s are ok. I have turned them purple while autocrossing and they don't get just greasy, but it feels like your on ice. but overall they are ok, can't complain, but I will try the Kuhmo MXs out as I have heard good things and they are cheaper.

I've seen reviews that Kumho Ecsta MX's are great for track.. but Falken FK-451 is the best bang for your buck imo..

I have the Kumho MX's in 245/40-18 f and 275/40-18 r, and they are awesome - fantastic bargain. I use them as my "Street Tire" auto-x tires. Stick like no tomorrow in the dry; can't say about the wet since we don't get much rain in Phoenix. The only thing that I hear is better are the BFG g-Force KDs, but they are 50% more money.
