Axis Se7en Mod Lugs
Can anybody with Axis Se7en Mods tell me what size lug wrench I need for the lugs that came with them? The lugs are too small for the wrenches I have and I'd like to know what to ask for at the auto shop.
My previous tuner wheel locks won't fit the wheels either. Can anyone recommend some locks that'll work with the Mods?
Thanx

I just had my Seven Mods put on Friday and they used Nissan locking lugs. I was told that I would need Tuner lugs but they weren't required. Actually the lugs that came with the wheels look pretty similar to stock. I then bought Nissan locking lugs from the installer and BAM...that's it. I've already got so many compliments on the wheels. This Thursday I'll be putting on the Tein S-Techs so it'll look even better.
Were you able to install your Tien S-Tech's ? Also what size tires did you get. I got the axis mod's 20's and I would like to drop it a little but there seems to be only 1 inch clearance from my tires t the arm (thing).
Has anyone with axix mod 7's 20 using 245 x35x9 and 275 x35x10 tires able to lower their car?

I have since got rid of the S-Techs and went even lower with Tanabe G-Techs and they fit perfect (see pic below). As far as tire size, you're free to put on what you want. But if your stock wheels are 17in, the 245/35/20 tire size is not correct. If you have stock 18in wheels, it still might be pushing it. That size will yield an increase over the customary 3% and may greatly effect braking and suspension and safety.. By going with this size, it pushes the diameter of the wheel/tire out too much.
The absolute best tire size up front is a 255/30/20. This will yield an increase of less than 1%. this will mean that your 20in wheels/tires will only increase in diameter by less than 1% which is perfect. The only problem with this is the 255/30/20 tires (Michelin Pilot) are always on backorder.
I went to the next best thing and put a 275/30/20 on the front. Most people say it's too big but it's not. This size yields an increase of 2.42% over stock 17in wheels where as a 245/35/20 yields 3.37%. Staying within the 3% is critical for performance and safety.
The 275/35/20 is definately the wrong size in the back. It should be a 275/30/20 or larger. Definately a 30 aspect ratio. I'm running a 285/30/20 and some run a 295/30/20. When you increase the wheel size, you HAVE to decrease the aspect ratio of the tire(19in wheel-35AP, 18in wheel-40AP,) to maintain adequate size specs. This isn't always the case but more often than not, it is.

Thanks for you informative feed back. It look like i may have to live with the tires, until I have to buy new ones.
I'm hoping i can drop the car a little with tien springs to lower the car a liitle bit. The slight raise in height since installing the rims and tires is reallly noticeable , when driveing around. I'm getting used to it. But it does feel like a different car, now.
My concern is that my tire is about 1" from touching the upper control arm . If I do drop the car, with springs will the tire hit the uppper control arm?
From this picture, taken from compact sport mag. the control arm is at or really close to 1" normally

I guess, my question is since dropping your car.... how much clearance do you have from the tire to the upper control arm......
Thanks in advance foryou help!

I'll have to look but because my fronts are so close to the fender, I don't think I'll be able to get in there. I have a couple of friends with 20's on their 350 and have Tanabes and also Eibach's. One is running a 245/35/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear with the Tanabes and has no problems. The other is running seven mods in 20 also with Eibachs with a larger aspect ratio in the rear without problems.
Best of luck with it. However, I would definately get a 275/30 in the back. Call around to tire stores or even www.tirerack.com for a second opinion but a 275/35/20 is not correct in the back. It even might be dangerous to drive with that big of a tire in the back.
