Default 18/9.5 and 18/10.5

any body know wat will be the least wide tire i can put on 18/9.5 and 18/10.5?

It depends on the tire. But 285/35 on a 10.5" is probably minimum and 265/35 on a 9.5". With proper fitment being 295/35 on a 10.5" and 275/40 on a 9.5". You might be able to go lower with a specific tire, but check out the Tirerack.com and browse tires by brand. Then go to specs and you can see the recommended rims per tire size.

Also, that combination would throw off the VDC because of the tire diameters.

275/40 on 9.5" in the rear and 245/40 on 8.5" in the front is the standard upgrade package. Getting wider rims makes finding a good tire combo a headache. That's not even considering trying to fit the smallest tires on a given set of rims.

thanks alot, i'll will c what i can finds out with the tire size from tirerack.com.
but there is several members here(i cant recall who) have done 275 on 10.5 or even wider rims.
so just wondering if there is any disadvantage!
