THE "Bounce"
I would like to hear feedback from owners who have solved this issue.
I'm particularty interested as I'm sure many of us are, as to which products have worked and how cost effective they were comparatively speaking.
Feel free to give your two cents.
Thanks

The cheapest is order some eibach or RSR down springs.
That will solve the problem for a short period of time until the shock go bad.
Or buy the springs and koni's
You could spend the money on a nismo s-tune suspension
Or you could be baller and get some Tein Flexs (however these make squeaking noises)

It may be abit early to get the definative answer to your question (I have the same one). I think the answer will be springs & Konis but the Konis are just starting to get onto Zs. Over the next 3-4 months we will start seeing more posts by those who have gone the Koni route.
Konis should start hitting the streets by months end. I have one of BJ's first 15 sets due the end of March. I intend to do the Konis and 350Evo sways. The Konis were designed & tested to work with the stock springs.

Did you pay about this much ($250 shipped) or is there a place that you got them from that you could recommend?

But the back Eibach is lower, visually. Get the Tein, so you don' t have to buy camber kit for the rear..

Bahhh...
posts about Koni shocks...I know S tune solves the problem...but its 1,260 dollars....and it shouldn't have to cost that much to get rid a an occasional bounce...
Does anyone have any idea of price?

If you order a set of springs with a minimal drop then you will kill the bounce without having to worry about killing your shocks.
Go Tein S flex. .7 inch front .6 inch rear. A mild drop that wont kill your shocks and doesnt look ghetto.
BlueBatmobile has these springs and says the shocks eliminate the bounce. Not only that but he had the car alligned and the car is very close to stock specs with the drop.
Me I want durability, but Teins dont offer the handling prowess that I want and Eibachs are using a spring making process that has not been revised for years.
i am going with B + G springs, 1 inch drop all around.
No after install sag and a good rep. ZLAND has these and is happy.
PS price check says Tein S springs and B + G springs are around 150$ @ www.hopupracing.com

You can get them for about $219 shipped from Jason at Performance Nissan.
The springs alone are obviously not as good as doing a full coilover set or springs + konis.
BUT, for me, the eibachs are worth every penny.
-The bounce is gone
-The car rides flatter and has less body roll
-The car takes bumps nice and firm now, but not annoying firm
-The car is more comfortable now.
-IT LOOKS GREAT
I would say buy them, I spent a lot of time reading and in the end, I just took the plunge and I love it.

I did an alignment about 5 months ago. My camber numbers at the time were:
Front left, front right (not adjustable)
-0.5, -0.8
Rear left, rear right (adjustable)
-2, -2
One week after installing the springs, I did another alignment:
Front left, front right (not adjustable)
-1.1, -1.5
Rear left, rear right (adjustable)
-2.5, -2.5
Basically, the rears were adjustable down to -2.0 again but I choose to have them put to -2.5 because I didn't want to have front and rear camber numbers so close. (-1.5 vs. -2.5) I am not going to go into details on this...
Toe goes back to stock spec as its not really affected and caster number increase slightly but nothing drastic.
So, tires will wear out a little faster but it's not the end of the world. The added negative camber is great for cornering too, the front doesnt push (understeer) like it used to now.
I would definately buy these springs, if you are looking for an affordable solution to the bounce + better looks/handling and ride, this is your solution.

Just trying to decide which of these would be best (for me):
eibachs - $219 shipped from Jason @ Performance Nissan
Tein S (.7 inch front .6 inch rear) - 150$ @ hopupracing
Espelir (20/30mm drop, in theory) ~ same price as Tein though used

This is more of an issue for people with civics, Golfs... Who have lower quality shocks from the factory and they drop 2-3 inches on them.
It all depends on the way you drive and your local streets, but you can expect your shock life to be about 75%-90% of what it would have been with stock springs. So if it was going to last 50k miles, it will last about 40k miles now.
As for which springs, I got the eibachs and am very happy, I was thinking ot the S-Techs but I am happy I didn't get them now. The drop won't be visible with those and they are actually softer than stock.
Go eibach and you won't regret it.

Pity, if they are $219 shipped, I wonder how much they would be picked up. A bunch was heading up to Performance Nissan today DOH! I have been feeling a bit under the weather or I might have gone.
