Lightbulb Kazera KZ-A vs NISMO LMGT4 wheels

Anybody tell me what the differences would be between the Kazera KZ-A vs NISMO LMGT4 wheels? The Kazera is a copy of the NISMO and sells for $850.00 for 4 vs $1800.00 for 4 on the NISMO.

I've never heard of Kazera but I'll take a guess and say they're cast opposed to the forged Nismo ones. That likely means they're heavier and weaker than the Nismo ones they're copied from.

EDIT: just did some googling. Yep, they're cast.

I am sure they are ok quality wise, but are certainly not as exotic as NISMO - going to weight more, cost less..and looks like they only do chrome. But they are shot peened, which at least should make them quite strong.

Thanks for the replies! They come in silver with machined rim or chrome. I have decided to go ahead and order them. I working it through Tirerack and I don't think they would sell some cheapo wheel. Their reputation is worth more. By the way they are 1 lb heavier.

Hey Blug

The rears (9.5") were listed as not being available until 5/19. You OK with that? I wrote you a full answer at freshalloy. Good luck with these wheels, they look OK to me, but you will want the wider wheel in back, if you hope to use that 275/40/18 tire you've always wanted.

Default Kazera's are good quality

Let me give you a little background. Kazera's are manufactured by ASA in Korea using patented pressure cast technology developed by BBS that ASA uses to manufacture lower priced BBS wheels in Korea also. Confused? This technology bridges the gap between basic cast wheels and high dollar forged wheels, and are very close in weight to forged wheels. My friend has some 18.5lbs 18X7's on his Subaru.

Default I have had them for a month or so now

And I think they are great. Running them with Continental Extremecontacts. Much better grip and handling then the shitty bridgestones it shipped with. You will love the look of the rear with the fat meat on there. (275) No rubbing issues.

Love em, and most like the look better then the stock wheels.

Default This is what they are:

Rear: 18x9.5 5-114 et35 kaz kz-a with P275/40WR-18 Continental ContiExtremeContact

Front: 18x8.5 5-114 et30 kaz kz-a with P245/40WR-18 Continental ContiExtremeContact

All season tires - grab the road and get you going - these tires don't do the goXXXdarn SLIP SLIP SLIP that the stock tires did in this weather - these babys work well with the VDC.

Glad you like them

price bottom line was $1493.18 mounted balanced delivered to my driveway via UPS.

What do you think?
