Check the ultra high performance tire reviews icon at this address.
I have the "stones", and they are heavy.
The new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tire is now the king of the hill.
They were introduced a short time ago.. and Tire Rack has the 19 inch sizes in stock ... 245/35 and 275/35...
If I needed tires now.. I would swap out my S03 PP's in a heartbeat...
Go check them out... and the reviews. Top drawer....

I recently tested the Pilot Sport 2 on a lowered G35 coupe. I have to agree that this is certainly the new king of the hill for everyone else to compete against. Amazing tire. It will safely bring you to the limit, and when you get there or beyond it helps you out and gives up slowly and under control.

my friend has 19" pirelli pzeros on his lexus is300. i can't say much about the grip as i've only driven it a few times and i was definitely not pushing the limits. but they are a VERY quiet tire.
i've had s03's previously, i liked them alot, nice grip ... breaks away very conisitantly at the limit, great in the wet. however, they don't last very long.

Can't speak for 19", but just put Eagle F1 GS-D3 245/40/18 & 275/40/18 on and the difference between these and the stock 18's were phenominal! Less road noise, smoother ride, excellent dry & wet traction, good grip and supposed to give very good wear for a hi-perf. tire. Expensive, but IMO well worth it.
I've been looking at plus sizing; going from the 17" wheels to 18' wheels for my 2004 Base 350Z.
When you replace the OEM tires with tires of a slightly different diameter, is there some way to recalibrate the speedo so that it still reads accurately? ie. can you input a new tire size into the car's computer system so it "knows" what size of tires it is using?
Case-in-point. For winter driving this year I used Bridgestone Blizzak MZ01s on all four wheels. These tires don't come in 235/50R/17, so I used 225/50R/17 on the rears. The slight difference in tire diameter from stock threw my speedo off by 2 mph at 60mph.
Thanks for any help.

I just bought a set of S-03 PP's. They're getting put on the car tomorrow.
I pretty much have been researching the same question that you've posed. From what I could gather, the Eagle's are pretty good tires, with the Pilot Sport PS2's about the same, maybe better. T1-S still very good, and S-03 hopefully just about as good.
For me, it really came down to availability. I wanted to stick with the stock 18" sizes and a lot of the tires mentioned don't seem to be available in 225/45/18 size.
I'll tell you more tomorrow or the day after when I get the car back.

Also T1S gets noisy when it's wearing out?
I have T1-S's, they're great so far, really good grip, but then again, i have 9 and 10" tires, they better grip pretty good at that size. No excess tire noise so far. The ride is still comfortable enough too. They seem to have a really soft compound though, seem to leave a lot of tire marks on the driveway when turning slowly. I think they were rated AA with tire wear at 280 which is about avg. for this type of tire.
SirZ - The original Eagle's and F1's were a bit noisy, but the newest GS-D3's are sweet - no unruly noise at this point. We'll see after a few thousand miles......... I only have 200 miles on them now. Love the grip & handling so far as well.
I am thinking about the PS2's... They are a chunk of change, however. For a set of 4 I'm looking like 1250!!! ouch.
T1-S proxies were a beautiful tire... they wore EXTREMELY quickly though - I ran through those babies very fast. I'm getting the Kinetix Racing front and rear control arm kit to hopefully maximize the life of these tires...

S-O3's and GS-D3 is your best bet.....
S-O3 does not have good traction when its cold...but once its warmed up its excellent.
my roommate has GS-D3 on his evo...this will have a better wet traction because of the tread design....havent run this at the track yet so dont know how it perform at extreme conditions... but it has better wear and less noise compare to S-O3's....so more comfortable ride.

S-03's are on! I didn't think I'd feel much of a difference, but they are definitely much better than my worn REO's with 17K miles and lots of feathering! I can't say I really remember what the car was like when those were new, but it seems to be a little better planted now.
I've only put about 30 miles on...I should have more to say after the weekend.

Again, I'm one who can't speak to the 19s, but I have Dunlop SP9000s 18s on my Nismos (245/40 and 275/40). I think it's a great performing tire, much better than the OEM Michelin Pilot Sports, IMO. I believe they they have cost/perforrmance factor out there. Needless to say, I am very happy with them.

Ive got the Goodyear F1s in 19s. I love them!!
I run 255/35 on my front 19/8.5 and 275/35 on rear 19/9.5
They are wearing well, and they dont make noise.
i like to get sideways from time to time when its safe, and the first time I did on these it was amazing. They really loose traction progresiveley and letting off the throttle pulls the end back in smoothly. Was a passenger in a Z with 19 OZ superleggerass and Proxes and It was not as smooth when drifting. IMO anyways.
I am happy with the F1s. Wont break your wallet like the Michelins will either!
