Default Enkei RP-F1 wheels

I just got wheel package delivered this Friday. Well at least 3 wheels out of 4... UPS lost the 4th one somewhere between warehouse and delivery truck. Hope I'll get it monday.

It's my first real mod for a car and I'm really really proud and happy with it. It's new Enkei RP-F1 wheel with Toyo T1S tires. The wheel is the same look as wheels Enkei supply to formula-1 McLaren-Mercedes team. They are not magnesium as for F1 but extremely lightweight too. I've went with 17x8 all around with 255/45 rear tires and 245/45 front tires. It fits and look perfect.

I coulnd wait and since I've had 2 rear wheels and 1 front, I installed rears yeasterday. Looks kind of stupid right now, but if you look at only rear of the car you can get the idea how beautiful the new wheels. I also weighted them all

Stock rear 17x8 with Blizzaks LM-22 235/50/17: 51.5 lbs

17x8 RP-F1 with T1S 255/45/17 (i.e. 20mm wide and the same diameter as stock): 42.5 lbs

17x8 PR-F1 with T1S 245/45/17: 41 lbs

17x8 RP-F1 rim: 15.6 lbs (from Enkei's website).

Link to RP-F1 on Enkei website

So my rear wheels are 18% lighter now and 20mm wider. That's lighter when TE37 for half the price!

I will make pictures when I'll have all 4 wheels installed

Glad you like'm. I have a set that I use as my track set-up running on RA-1 race tires. I just had them sent out to get powdercoated (semi-gloss black). Should look pretty bad-*** when done. I can't wait to see the results!

I had black powdercoat in mind too. But being such a beautiful design, now I think black color would completely hide the wheel. And I want it to be visible. It's close color to door handles so it fits very well. But show us a pictures when you are done... It's never late to change your mind...

Hey, do you have center caps? Mine were send without and now I'm quite confused where to get them because view through that center hole isn't really nice

These wheels do NOT come with the center caps they are about $14ea. And you may have to wait a little bit for them.

One of our customer ordered these in Silver and took us 4 weeks to receive them. And since his car got into an accident. They were just sitting at the shop with tires mounted on them for 2 months. We also had to special order the center caps. Hopefully we will get the car back this week and have pix up soon.

How much do those run for 17x8's? What offset and how well do they come to the edge?

How much is powder coating in CA?
Thanks!

I've got +35. Considering I've got wider tire (255,245) I don't see the difference with stock setup. They don't come closer to the edge than stocks.

Just installed fronts yesterday... Weight difference with stocks for front is 9.5 lbs (40 lbs vs 49.5) per wheel.

So it's 9x2 + 9.5x2 = 37 lbs off the wheels. Coooool

I REALLY like these wheels!

Where did you buy them from? How much$.

I'm thinking of 4-17 x 9.5, and getting them powder coated gloss black. I'd be getting 255/40 tires all around.
