Default Which wheel locks

I have Volk LE37T's, and was considering a set of wheel locks.
Which ones are the best ? Rays, Kyokugen, Enkei? Do the thieves already have all the keys to these locks, rendering them useless ?

The Kyokugen's use a generic key for all of their sets, and they're manufactured in Taiwan.... regardless of whats written on the packaging.

I would recommend the Rays or McGard or BOTH. Just make sure that the diameter on the McGard key will fit the super small hole of the Volks.

If a thief wants your wheels he'll get them no matter what lock you have on them. Personally I use two locks on eack wheel as more of a deterant but they can still get them if they really want to.

Your Volks should have come with some lugs, those lugs are very unique and no one without a Volk Key can take those off. I took mine to a shop and they couldn't even take it off without my key.

If you want to be even safer, get the McGard too.. but then you just gotta remember to keep all the keylocks with you incase of a flat, God forbid.

Just so you know, Gorilla's Splinedrive (tuner) style lug nuts are also manufactured in Taiwan, by the SAME EXACT company that makes the Muteki line. Surprisingly enough, the keys fit either lug nuts so.... yeah.... I think just about every theif in the world would be able to jack your rims with those locks.

I'm pretty sure the same factory turns out all their product in Taiwan. I don't know about the rest of their stuff, but all of their "small diameter" tuner lugs all use the same key, which fits all muteki lugs also. Their f***ing identical.

here's a really cool set of locks - i can't seem to find a vendor for them though in US or Canada though:

http://www.toadauto.com/urolock-wheel-locks.shtml

The link above supports e-commerce; but it doesn't seem very reputable so I'm not going to risk sending them my money.

The locks themselves are actually not locks at all... they're a sleeve that slides on top of your existing lugs. The sleeve then has a rotating cuff around the outside which makes it impossible to grip. It's not fool proof, but in theory, this is the BEST lock available since even the Rays/Gorilla locks can be removed with a cheap set of rubber-capped vice-grips (yes, I've tried - took me all of 5 minutes ).

Doesnt look like those would fit into the holes on the Volk wheels.

Neat idea, don't think those would fit in the holes of most high end wheels though. Would love to find some good locking lug nuts, but even with me having my wheels for so long, still haven't been able to find any good lug nuts that are worth my purchase.

Are those smaller in diameter than the stock lug nuts and if so, is it significantly smaller to the point that you can notice it?? And also, do the locks really work or are they easy to get to like the others?? How many lug nuts do you get for $35??

These lock "caps" are very good. I have a set i got in the mid 90's for my BMW. They are made of aluminum with plastic inserts. High quality construction and they are so light that they will not mess with your wheel balance. The problem is that they don't fit nissan factory lug nuts(21mm) and i doubt they will fit Volks :-(
other wise good product.

The McGard locks that came on my car stripped after a year and a couple of wheel changes. Wouldn't use them again.

Wrong. Volks do not come with the $100+ set with the key. Mine came with the plain jane boring none locking chrome lugs. That's not to say whoever you bought your Volks from didn't throw in a set of Volk lugs, but they don't come packaged from Volk with the nice lugs.
