Talking SF Challenge's on SuperBlack

I finally got some Wheels, woohoo!!!! I was one who couldn't see spending over $2500 for wheels/tires so I thought Volks/Iforge/etc. were not going to be a choice for me..... Thanks to my350z.com and the 'private classifides' forum, I too, can have some quality rims......

Anyways, before anything, I want to thank tree-fity-zee (Dean & Phil). I can honestly say these guys helped me out alot, not only was the price right, but they helped me out w/ the problems I had after putting them on (that's going to be in another thread)......

So here they are....... 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 Mercury Silver, 245/35 & 285/35 Continental SportContact 2's....

I really like how the Mercury Silver matches the door handle and side emblem:

Nice, I was wondering what the 285 would look like. I may go with a 255 front and a 285 rear next time If I can find a tire I like in that size.

Looks very sharp!

Well, it went like this...

I got out of work ~5:45ish and had to wait for my GF to come w/ the truck so that we can go and get them mounted. We went to prolly 4 different places and they were all closed or closing. So now it's about ~7 pm and we find an Express Tire to do it for me right before they closed. Cool.

So now wheels are mounted, I'm grinning from ear to ear, give the guys a 'thanks for staying open for me", get in and on my way home to drop off the stocks at my house. About 5 mins after we left, 'VDC Off'/Brake/Slip lights come on and stay on..... I also hear it rubbing when i hit some dips...... I don't feel any vibrations or anything so I think nothing of it and hope it goes away if I re-start my car......

We get home, drop off wheels, and me and GF go to get something to eat in my car..... Again after 5 mins of driving the lights come on again..... So now I pull over and call Dean & Phil and ask if they've experienced this. They tell me that it didn't happen to them, offered me some advice (resetting ECU/etc.), basically really concerned and ask to keep in touch and update them on what I find out.....

Still no vibrations, BUT, now I feel it pulling to the left slightly..... Now I'm starting to be really concerned, thinking I dropped some cash on some wheels that were f'd..... We get to Olive Garden and whattya know, 25 min wait, so we take the lil' beeper thing and wait in the car... Of course, I'm not in the car, I'm going 'round and 'round on my car to try and figure out what's up, then I notice, the passenger side wheels are ALOT more flush w/ the fenders than the one's on my side.. WTF! I take a closer look to see if they're were any spacers or anything, that's when it hits me.......... They put my 19x9.5 (285/35) wheel on the Passenger side front ......

Doh!!!!!!!

Couldn't really be pissed at the guys at Express Tires cuz they did help me out even tho they were closing, Plus I shoulda inspected it when it was done, but I didn't..... (Mesmerized by how pretty she was looking)

Anyway, in the morning, went to Discount Tire and got it swapped and EVERYTHING was OK..... phew.....

Moral of the story:

Always, always, always check the work before taking off......

Those have to be my favorite Volks and probably any rim for that matter next to the TE-37 MAGs (gotta keep my dreams). I'm like you when it comes to looking for rims and that they have to be under $2,500 with tires. I was going to jump on this set, but I really want them in gunmetal. Your ride looks awesome!
