Rear Tire Stagger: good for NASCAR, but is it good for a LSD Z33?

Okay all, my situation is thus: I picked up a nail in a irrepairable shoulder of one of my rear Goodyears. If I buy a brand new replacement Goodyear in the same tire size as before, because of the 11,000 miles of wear between the two tires, there will be a circumferential difference between the diameters - just like in NASCAR! This is good for oval racing, but I am concerned about stagger causing wear on the LSD gears because of the tire stagger. One online tire shop said: "Yes, you should buy two new tires so LSD does not engage in a straight line" while local Gioodyear store says"No problem - so long as both tires on an axle are the same size, that little bit of stagger will not hurt anything". Who is right? Please post your opinion in the poll.
BTW, the amount of stagger is:
New tire diameter = 26.66 inches
Worn tire diameter = 26.41 inches

Get two tires to be on the safe side, you are better off paying for a new tire and having another (the old one) as spare rather than getting new LSD if the guys in the online tire shop were right …. That’s just my .02

New tire: d=26.66 c=83.754
old tire: d=26.41 c=82.969
diff = 0.785 or 0.937%
So if there is 3/4 of an inch in rotational distance, I'd say it would most likely wear/engage the lsd. So, get a new pair or have the new tire turned on a lathe - second tire is probably cheaper unless you know a prof. racer that can do that for you.
