Angry mounting tires!?! 250-300$!!!!!!!!!

ok, so my camber is WWWAAAYYY off, not sure why, maybe stemming from the curb incident. whatever. my tread is worn almost through on the inside edge of all 4 tires. so I need it rotated side to side.

I also have summer tires for the rear. so basicly unmount and remount all 4 tires. simple enough?

call up butler tire in atlanta, ask if they can do 18" rims, yes, they can do up to 26" rims(their a new shop, very trendy). ask them if they gaurentee their work, yes. good good.

how much? 250$ for regular 300 for highspeed.

is this normal!!!!????

I cant afford this, just dont have 300$ for what seems like 30min of labor.

anyone in the atlanta area that wants to reccomend a cheaper tire shop that can do this please let me know.

Damn.. America Tire Co. put s03's on my old te37's for something like 10-15 bucks each, don't remember... ( They even gave me a key that fits better in the smaller Volk lug holes for free, and re-torqued my wheels after I had drivin 100 miles ( next day )

Can't help you out on a shop in your area.

yeah mounting and balancing was about 15 bucks each, i can't imagine taking off a tire is more then 10 bucks each, it should be less than 25 bucks a rim.

We charges $25-$35 per wheels depends on the size (mainly 18" and up). Not cheap but our major business are BMW and Mecerdes.
The shop that quote you $250 IMO, is too expensive.

LOL I got a quote from local Tirebarn store in Indiana that mounting 4 tires on whatever size and balancing is $50 total.
$250? What a rip-off.

well atleast now I know their out of their minds.

mounting includes balancing right?

I gotta find another place that will do it... the other local shop wont touch em cause they are afraid to scratch the rim.

the people that sold the tires to me mounted them originally, but they dont rotate, it was a warehouse.

the search continues.

Default I also reccomend America's Tires

They have a very good price on new tires with mounting and balanceing tires included.

Check out their prices.

Yeah, I got screwed on the mounting/balancing too. I went to every tire shop in town (actually two towns making up the county). No luck till the 9th one-Firestone dealer and they had to truck them another 40 miles to get them mounted. Cost me a total of $185 to get 'em mounted/balanced. The 7 of the other 8 shops would not touch 19's with 35 series tires. The one other Matlock tire did not have the rubber peices for the tire machine, so they did not want to scratch wheels trying without them.

thanks DTD, Ill give one of them a call. I really dont care what they do, all I want is a 100% replacement gaurentee on the rims and tires if they take on the job and screw up. pretty **** about them cause they are so expensive, might not be big baller 26" rims, but their still expensive to me. hate hearing some of the horror stories.

the price is right though!

Yeah, Ares, that is way too much for what you asking for!!!
I was able to get one of my local Discount tires to remove all 4 tires and side to side rotate, and then Road Force Balance as well, for only $100.
