Default Stepping down?

Has anyone gone from the Stock 18's on my touring model to a 17" racing style wheel?

What are the benifits to this besides weight loss/less rolling mass?

i'm thinking of this... any comments?

well, your wheels will have more rubber so it will be better protected from potholes and rim damage.

on the track (road course, not the straight line stuff....) I use 17x9 Enkei RPO2J with 275/40-17 Yokohama AO32R tires... I use 17's becuase of the greater availability of 17" track tires

On the street, I'd consider using 17" wheels for the reason leemik mentions... taller sidewalls mean a little more wheel protection, but it also means a less bumpy ride as the tire will absorb more of the impacts

other than that, I doubt you will notice much difference in speed or performance compared to your OEM 18s....

Hope that helps,

If you are going for looks, you should get the 18's, but for performance, 17's would be better.
