someone obviously thinks they're very intelligent.
do you really enjoy trying to belittle others? mind if i ask what your occupation is? must be pretty impressive as you are such a smart guy. you also implied i was stupid earlier yet i'm a network security architect for the federal reserve system. seems they think otherwise. i meet people like you all the time; people that think they're smart but in fact are not. they typically try to belittle others to make themselves feel more intelligent. anyway, good luck with doing that thing you do. hope it helps your self esteem.
zztop does have a valid point on the bodykits being out of control, etc..
#1 it just hurts when somebody comes onto the board bashing something you've just spent countless hours and $$$ to do.
#2 he used the wrong terminology and wording to state his opinion.(people took it the wrong way)
#3 It's true , the market is cluttered with stuff that looks horrible for the Z, but it doesn't mean WE need to buy it.
#4 His statement about keeping the natural lines of the Z entact are true, Keep the lines smooth
Everybody try not to jump on the bandwagon on this guy, he doesn't deserve it, he just used wrong wording in his opinion.
Finally, I personally like the way the car turned out. The color is kind of brite, but everything else is o.k. It's just ALOT different than any other daily street car on the road.
Let's all try to get along and keep peace with each other.
Peace to Rydan and peace to zztop..........

I respect anyone who has made the choice to own Z. None of my remarks are meant to insult or hurt anyone. However, how you feel about any of my opinions about your car is irrelevant to me. I doubt you would have expended so much energy if you found them humorous, but I hope you did. I find the car humorous as well. I stand by them regardless of whether or not you approve of my choice of words. When I feel strongly about something, I don't mince words.....try not be so thin skinned. I don't know you... and I wasn't attacking you personally....only the image of a car that I find as offensive as you find my criticism. As I said, if you love the car, great. Don't worry about what I think or say, or how I say it....I certainly don't where it concerns you.
Perhaps my commments should have been less directed at an individual and more generally pointed towards the aftermarket suppliers, whose lack of design skill and taste has quickly pushed many modded Z's into the ranks of cheap, ricey Hondas and Subarus. Flood the market with a bunch of poorly styled body kits and no doubt there will people standing in line who find the need to change the looks of their car just to be different, regardless of whether or not these changes are aesthetically pleasing to most.
Look at what Ruf has done for modified Porsches. Subtle tweaks in form, height and proportions that add up to more a powerful and aggressive visage than the original design offered. Not all their designs work well, but most of them do. I would love to have such products for the Z.....but look what we've got instead: a myriad of giant wings, overdone skirts and ridculous noses that add up to a Godzilla-like reworking of a clean, powerful form....all fins and scales, most of which look like they're stuck on with Superglue and duct tape. Most of these Z's look like they're ready to do battle with Mothra. Many body kit designers have chosen to be more outrageous than the next guy, and they keep upping the ante and lowering the image. The Z is sports car with world class potential, and I hate to see it's stature obliterated by mod crazy owners forced to choose from the (mostly) crap that's available.
Perhaps I just have more respect for the original design than you do. If you can't improve on something, why change it just to change it? There are many things in this world that I'll never understand, I guess. The success of Ellen Degeneres for one. How the hell did she get to be such a big star...she sucks...but I digress.

As far as attacking others for their grammar usage...don't do it when your own grammar ain't the greatest (yes, my usage of "ain't" is on purpose). Go ahead point out my mistakes...no one's perfect. If your grammar was flawless then maybe you could point out other's mistakes, until you are perfect, then you can dole out all the grammatical criticism you want. I know my grammar is not perfect so I won't point out all of your errors for you, you can reread a third grade text book and discover them for yourself.
As far as my car goes, I love and I mean abosolutely love my car. The opinions that other people give me won't hurt or mar my image of my car because that is my image, no one else's. I was not offended by your comments. What I'm responding to is the fact that you think that your opinions are so magnificant that it justifies you being able to be a...dare I say it...an a$$. Plain and simple you now are what you were defending yourself against in the previously mentioned thread. How does it feel to be that person?
If you feel so strongly about the mod's that are made for Z's then why don't you start a thread just for that, where you can ***** and complain till you're heart is content. I saw you have gone into other threads and made similar comments towards mod's. There is no justification for it, what purpose is there besides being an a$$? By the way, the mod's I have on my car are also for performance, since there is a little thing called aerodynamics and that does factor into a car's performance. In case you forget you did say, "For the record, I have no problem with modifying aspects of the Z that need it: performance, for example." Perhaps you do feel that you are the only person in the world that holds respect for the Z (which you are not) but it is clear that the level of respect you hold for the other Z enthusiast's out there is pretty much non-existant.
just read this thread...i just cant believe what some people say
youre car happens to be really nice..not saying i wouldve done EXACTLY the same thing but this guy is talking about your car like you mauled it or something
first of all this is the FIRST time anyone has bashed the V1 kit...its gotta be the most subtle kit around..
i normally never stick my nose into these kinda fights cause its pointless but i just had to in this case
rayden, nice detective work with his quotes by the way...that oughta shut him up
and just for the record...making fun of someones spelling or grammer is the ABSOLUTE LOWEST form of online ridicule...it only occurs when the person has nothing left in the tank
i dont think he'll even be responding anymore (prob will though just cause i said that)
anyway..keep up the good work

Rayden- You're car is definitely hot. A very nice rendition of the Z for sure. and something about those wheels, normally i wouldn't like wheels like that on anything but a truck, but for show those wheels actually work.
I still think you need to smoke your tail lights though.
Mr. B - what do i need to do to get mercedes' phone number?!

I'm sorry, that car is ****ING HORRIBLE. I can't imagine ruining a car like that. It would be an entirely different story if you designed and created that body kit yourself, but you didn't. You just slapped 200lbs of shitty plastic and fiberglass onto a perfectly good car and made it look like complete junk. I bet you love that show "Pink My Ride" because your car looks like its straight off one of the episodes.
thats my opinion.

I would say that the first thing to do is pull up your pants and go to the next event she'll be at and ask Mercedes yourself.
I think you have better chances at the lotto though.
