Does anyone know what the CHEAPEST tires are for stock 17 inch rims? Doesnt really matter how it grips n stuff, as long as the treads last pretty ok because I want a set of really cheap tires so I can work on my drifting without wasting a lot of $. I think I only need cheap tires for the rear wheels because theyre the ones that mostly gets wasted. Thanks for the replies

i'm not sure what the stock 17" tire sizes are, but you might goto www.tirerack.com and do a search for your size and then order by price.
did a quick search and found some Kumho ECSTA 711 for about $73 a piece. you might go to your local crappy-*** tire shop and get some no-name tires for less than $50. i bought a new "Big-O" brand tire for my grandmother's buick a year or so ago and it was like $40 or something.

A good tire at a good price is the new Fuzion ZR-i's (made by Bridgestone) I was one of the first people to buy them from the tirerack (I had them before they were even on the wesite - the salesguy drove a G coupe and recommended them)
I knew I wanted to up the width on the stock wheels so I went with:
245/45/17 - front ($102 each)
255/45/17 - rear ($103 each)
And they fit perfectly and handle much better than the stock Eagle RS-A's - the ride is also more comfortable than the stockers - I think for the money, they were a good investment (they'll last me until I can save up for some 19's)
