anyone know the weights of stock 17 wheels/tires ? also what is the best (price and mostly convenience) way to ship (shipper--not packaging) . thanks

 

About 50 lbs. for tires & wheels, UPS ground.

 

I just got 18" ray's & some one told me this weekend at "Z"CON. that they only weigh about 5lbs. less then the stock 17".does anyone know the diff. for sure?

 

5lbs? no way. being as the stock 18's (non rays) are 55-60lbs each with tires...i really doubt the stock rays would be that much lighter. if this were true you would notice a big difference in acceleration between the touring/perf and the track z and based on what ive seen at the track i dont see that happening.

 

well actually there is a big weight difference between them

heres the weighs of the wheels:

Stock 17s: 24-25lbs
Stock 18s: 25-26lbs
TRACK 18s: 18lbs

So ya theres about 6-7lbs difference between the 17s and the track wheels

The tires weigh about the same (18s weigh 1lb more i think)

 

i just re-read his post...i thought he was saying the track rims were 5 lbs each lol...nevermind
