Default 275 Tires

Whats the min. width you need your wheels to be to fit 275 Tires. Im getting the base model and i heard you can fit these tires and there better than 245s. Is this true? The wheels im getting are 19x8. Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks

Default Re: 275 Tires

Ive been lookin around and it doesnt look like i can fit them. I want just a basic 7-spoke design. The konig tantrums design is basicly what i want. Anybody know any wheels that resemble theseand can fit 275s? Thanks

The Toyo site has this chart (have to click on the T1-S and then specs) but they have the 275/35/19 going on wheels between 9 and 11 inches.

Different tires will have different requirements. For the model of tire you choose, check the manufacturer's website for the exact specs. In general, the larger your sidewall, the larger range of rim widths you can safely fit. Unfortunately, if you use a 19" rim then you'd want a 275/35/19 tire. I'm not sure any brand of tire in that size would fit on an 8" wide rim. Whatever you do, be sure to check the manufacturer's tire specs.
