Newbie here, thinking about purchasing a 350Z track model in black. Right out of the gate I wanted to put some nice wheels and tires on it, and thought the gold Volk GT-Us would look really sharp with the black (I like that color combo). Would these work well? Would I void my warranty at all with this setup? I'm worried about the feathering and alignment issues everyone is having. Worried enough to delay my purchase, or make me think of a Honda S2000.

Any thoughts on this?

 

They will look good. Haven't ever seen a Z with those in Gold and the GT-Us are rare anyways. They won't void the warranty, however the dealership will not replace those tires under warranty. Don't let a thing like that make you get a Honda. Just get your car aligned when you get the new wheels and make sure the toe is set properly.

 

I considered those, but the biggest they come in is an 18". I wanted bigger myself.

 

Thanks. How easy are the stock track model wheels to sell? They would be brand new with tires on them very likely, what do you think they could fetch in a private sale?

 

with tires I'm sure you could get at least $1500 out of them. I've seen stock G35 coupe 18's snag $1800 before.
