It is coming to the point where I need to get some new tires. I was planning on getting some new wheels when the time for new tires came. But some other things came up (hot water pipe under the bathroom exploded) so wheels will have to wait. My question is can you fit any wider tires on stock 17's?

 

contrary to popular belief, you can go a lot wider on your stock wheels. my buddy has 15 wheels on his old cornell that are 7" wide and he has 275's with no problem. no inner cupping or lip problems.

 

I put pilot sport 255's(had 235's goodyears) on the rear rims of my 2003 coupe. No 8k miles & no problems.
