Smile Nismo Wheels and Kuhmo MX's 265/35 (f) and 295/35 (r) -- will it work w/ no rubbing?

As I will be tracking my car, I would like to get as much of a contact patch as I can. Obviously 245/40 (f) and 275/40 (r) is optimal/normal on the Nismo wheels. But can I go bigger (particuarly on the fronts).

I have heard that 265 front and 295 rear will work -- but I want to talk to folks who have actually done it. I know that those tire sizes will be at the limit of the wheel widths -- but that is OK.

Additional points:

It will be a 2004 Enthusiast with Nismo Suspension (shocks and springs) so it will have a 20mm drop. For now -- camber will be left stock.

I cannot tolerate rubbing at all. So if big rubber will rub -- I don't want it.

Thanks in advance.

the optimal size wheels for those tires would be:

18x9 or 9.5 front

18x10.5 rear

You would have way too much bulge/sidewall flex with that setup, esp. if you are interested in track use - I would either go w/ the recommended sizes for the Nismo's (I would go 255/40 front though) or find some wider wheels (I vote for the second - look into SSR GT-2's they come in 18x9 and 18x10.5 and are similarly priced to Nismo's - you would be the first to rock those)

Do you know anything about SSR GT-2's?

Are they forged? Light? Etc.
