Lip maintenance?
To those of you who have wheels with either polished /clearcoated /anodized lips....how do they hold up? I mean against pitting, scratches, dulling etc. I am in a bind as to whether or not to buy wheels with lips like the Challenges, or to go with a basic TE37 style. My past experience with polished lips has been less than glamorous, even with the utmost care. After a year or so, the lips were scratched and faded, or pitted from sand and other small road debris. I don't feel like dropping a lot of cabbage on a sweet set of wheels that will look like a$$ in a short while.

Polished lips are a lot more difficult to maintain, just as you said.
I've never seen clearcoated lips up close, but DURSO has them on his HRE's and seems quite pleased with them.
One option you have with a three-piece wheel and a polished lip...you can remove and replace the lip or return it to the manufacturer for polishing without having to send of the other two parts. Just a thought...
