Default slicks on stock 17's

What brand/ size slicks can I run on the stock 17" nissan rims???? I would rather use the rims that have been lying in the garage than buy new ones.....

Drag.......The only thing that is offered to my understanding is 225-45-17 in a drag radial... would I be better off with a wider tire that is not as sticky???? I would like a 255 size for the stock wheel???? is this possible??? right now I have 275 kuhmo mx on my daily rims...

Usually I would say yes to a smaller tire if it has more grip, but a 225/45 is a small tire, especially for the rear on a Z. A 255/40 or even 255/45 would probably be a good bet if you could find one. Nitto also has a drag radial.
