Default DIY: Wheel Spacers (pics)

sup guys

got the wheels spacers from www.wheeladapters.com. Also known as Fred Goekse's adapters.

i promised a few that i would do detailed Pics of the wheel spacer install. It is really easy.

What you need:
1. 3/4 wrench
2. Your Lug nut Wrench
3. A lift

Thats it.

i got the 20mm spacer, no need for longer studs, just bolt onto your original studs and then put the new wheel on.

I feel kinda stupid giving directions but just to show you guys.
Bear with me.

ok here is step one.
1. Lift your car up and take the wheel off.

2. Use the 3/4 socket wrench and screw in the lugs that Fred gives you onto the original studs of the car.

************Make sure when you buy these, your wheels have "pockets" or cavaties. What i mean by this is that in the inner part of your wheel, there has to be the pockets so there will be room for the short studded lugs.**********
example

3. Finally put the wheel back on and lug it back together.

After with allright 25 offset

Not bad, i'm happy with it, such a bigger difference.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and give a fred a call.
as for price. 380 total for all 4 wheels, includes shipping.

Vibrations....hmmm a friend of mine did the exact same wheel spacer mod on his Z28 Camaro and had vibrations also. Turns out after we jacked the car back up the lugs either came loose or he failed to properly torque the nuts down. I laughed at him and said that he just got excited and forgot to torque the lugs. Luckily no damage after his 20 mile drive to work........To make a long story short, jack the car back up and double check your work. Hope this helps,
Aloha

What were the specs of the wheels to begin with? Why are people so ignorant about widths and offsets anyway when they buy wheels? Seriousisily.

they only sell the axis supermesh in 40 & 45 offsets. sharp looking wheels at a very good price. theres nothing wrong with adding wheel adaptors to get the look you want. alot of people are doing it with the factory wheels as well. nissan opted for light offset narrow wheels from the factory........should have went with a staggered fitment wheels. they have the different tire sizes front/rear why not add 1/2" more to the rear? anyways, another topic there........

sang, looks much better! did you get adaptors on the front as well? or only the 20mm in the rear? if you did get the fronts what size did you go with & lets see some pics as well..........

yeh i did get them for the front as well, just ordered them later so this week it should come in.

i got the wheels for dirt cheap, so that is why. I see nothing wrong with what i'm doing. I'm getting a very high, i mean high quality spacer and making my car look the way i want it too.

Thanks for the comments guys.

just wondering what wheels and offset are you running. With 19 posts, you seem pretty much educated with the Z. do you even own one?

if so, good for you. Share with us what you have.
