WHOA guys! chill out.... there was no raised voice in my last post :-)
I was just confused because I thought I made it clear.
I've dealt with my CC company on something similar to this before and was treated right. I'm sure I'll have no difficulty with them on this one.
Again... slown down guys..... I wasn't snapping back!

On a side note, did you lower your car with the 19s on?
They look nice, and I am sorry hearing about your bad experience.
How's the ride on the 19s? Are they much harsher than stock? Thanks!

The point that seems to be missed is that you have the power to force them to take the wheels and tires back, yet you are driving on them and getting spacers for them. Why don't you take them off, get the credit on your account, return the wheels, and get the correct ones from someplace that does not operate like sleazebags??

I was on a 35 minute 3 way conference call with wheelmax and my CC comapny.
My CC company rep was trying to mediate the deal and make us all happy.
In the end... my CC company terminated the call because the manager at Wheelmax refused to take them back under any circumstance. My CC rep informed him that he should take them back and get something instead of getting a chargeback and no wheels. Wheelmax still said no.
So, my CC company told me keep them... Wheelmax decided on their own to lose on this... so... if they are willing to not take them back, I'm willing to keep them for free......
My point in posting was to warn others that if they deal with Wheelmax, they risk getting hosed.

I'm glad you got them for free, but its generally not a good idea to use products that were shipped to you if they were not what you wanted. It makes it that much harder to back out of payment had your CC not been so good to you.

man..... now I wish I didn't post this... you guys need to read closer.
I'll explain again.... Wheelmax WAS NOT GOING TO TAKE THEM BACK. PERIOD.
How else can I put it?!
makes no difference if I put them on my car or shipped them to the north pole.... Wheelmax was not going to take them back.
how is this not being understood?
It doesn't matter that they are on the car.... my CC company says do what I want with them.... put them on the car... make a coffee table.... roll 'em down a hill... whatever.
the issue is not why or why I shouldn't put them on the car... the issue is Wheelmax wants your money and nothing else.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune
I've had my own run-ins with Wheelmax and advise anyone I come in contact with that are planning on getting wheels over the 'net to stay clear of them. I called to inquire about a package deal they had going for my '93 Prelude (Racing Hart Evo C2's 18" w/tires for $1499) I didn't want the tire size they were advertising, 215/35/18 Toyo FZ4's, I wanted to bump it up to 225/35/18. The *professional* on the other end of the phone tried to tell me that they don't carry the size I was seeking (so, get it for me since Toyo makes it) and that I could go with a 215/40/18 instead if I wanted more profile on my tire. Well, this would throw my speedometer off quite a bit more than the size I was seeking, but the guy tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about, so I immediately hung up the phone. What an ******* this guy was. This guy is supposed to be a professional and do this for a living, yet I know more about the product than he does?
Anyway, I ended up going with another online company that I *HIGHLY* recommend. Top notch service and knowledgeable sales people. www.wheelsboutique.com
Here's a couple pics of the car w/the tires and wheels if you're interested.
The Z will be replacing the 'lude soon.

Even though you had a bad experience with your wheels, they still look bad ***! They look monsterous in those pics in your signature. It almost looks as if it filled up most of the fender gap as well.....probably just an illusion.
Do you have any more pics you can post??

if you go to my site
www.raptoronline.com
there is a link to a few more pics.
The 19's definatley give the illusion of filling up the wells! Talk about a serious improvement over the 17's!

Man, thats a GREAT DEAL! Free wheels!! I believe every bit of your post, if Wheel Max refused to take the wheels back, then I can see that your CC company would just reverse the payment and let you keep the wheels.
How is the ride quality? Handling? Obviously handling isn't going to be the best with the rear offset being wrong but do the 19's make it feel heavier?

ride quality between 17" and 19" is damn near the same. I can;t really say I can tell a major difference. I thought for sure I would, but it feels about the same to me.
Should get the billet wheel spacers in today or tommorow. Will kick out the rear wheels 1.2". The billet spacers have thier own studs and bolt onto the rear rotors and then the wheels bolt up to them.
The fronts will use .3" spacers which will not require longer studs.
This will fix the offset problem for now, but I'm still looking to sell the 19's and get the right wheels.
