Switched to 19's and now my ride quality is crap..
Can anyone help me out..I went from the 18" Touring setup to Axis Milano's 19x8.5 front 245/35/19 and 19x9.5 275/35/19 rear. But it feels like I'm driving a jeep now....What gives??

ride quality is going to suffer w/ 19s... no doubt about it
but i think the consensus is that 19s should improve handling due to stiffer/shorter sidewalls... at least that's what i noticed when I swapped out my touring 18s for my 19s (but then again the stock potenza's suck so better handling could have been attributed to new/better tires)

true, and at the track, you'll likely turn in higher lap times
but imo the stiffer sidewalls shouldn't make day to day handling worse... theoretically (and also from driving my own car) it should be slightly more crisp

my ride quality improved with my change from stock 18" to 19". I did 245/40/19 front (19x8 rim) and 285/35/19 rear (19x10 rim). I went with what some call the FAT set up..Thicker tires (same O.D. front & rear)
If you can even tell in the pic...?

Dude, cause you bought axis wheels!! Man those rims are so heavy they are like tanks! how much your rims weight 40lbs?

I went from stock to 19" Volk's with Toyo's. Ride quality actually got a little better . I heard the quality of ride on the Toyo's are pretty good anyways so that might be why.

The rims are stated to weight about 26 pounds in the front and 30 pounds rear. I most definitely have to check my PSI in my tires maybe that will help some.

When I say it rides like a jeep, I mean the ride is rough. Not as smooth as the stock 18" setup was especially at speeds of 65 and higher and on smooth highway I might ad. I'm really not digging this steup but I know I have to troubleshoot more to get to the root cause.

first off do you have hub centric rings? the stock bore is 66.1 and the milano's are going to be 73.1. You need to get those, that will get rid of any vibrations or what your sensing maybe, the roughness.
if you have those then try a simple alignment.
hope this helps.

What tires did you switch from and what do you have now?
Is the tire pressure the same?
I went from stock track wheels to 255/275 Toyos on my new 19s and it is sooo much better
