Question What kind of setup is best? Advice pls ...

I have to admit I'm a newbie at tuning. I love my Z but I'm having trouble finding knowledgable people to get advice from my area so I hope some people in the forums can help me out.

Does anybody have any of these Nismo components installed? And if so how well are they working? I'm looking for a daily driver, weekend racer type of setup where it will be low maintence. I was considering this setup. All comments and advice is welcome.

Nismo G-Attack Suspension System (Front: 8kgf/mm, 447 lbs/in; Rear: 6kgf/mm, 335 lbs/in)
Nismo GT LSD - 1.5 Way MT or Kaaz LSD - 2 Way MT
Nismo Pressure Plate
Nismo Clutch Disc (Torque Capacity 57 kg/M w/ Nismo Pressure Plate)
Nismo Light Flywheel (21.6 lbs. Or 9.8 kg)

I also posted another thread about me loosing control and sliding onto a curb last night. This is what pushed me to want to beef up suspension.

Thanks.

Instead of working to change the suspension you should be working to beef you your driving skills, not saying that to be mean at all. Out of the box the Z is a very well buttoned down chassis. I don't know what all happened, but in general most offten such things speaks more of driver error then it does for the need for a setup change.

Your specs for the Z33 S-tune suspension are incorrect, here is what they are.
Nismo S-tune (uses progressive springs, especially in rear)
350Z/G35 Coupe
448/504 F+43% R+48%
Transfers +5% roll stiffness to rear

Working the angle of making the car better, I would not bother with the S-tune suspension, since their use of progressive springs can bring about their own at the limit handling issues and they are a very poor value for the money, go with Tein basics or if you have to be in that price point, HKS Hypermax II's. Since you have a base car, doing the Nismo LSD is a great idea. You do need to add in a adjustable sway bar system so you can fine tune behavior to suit you and your needs, EVO350 and Hotchkis are excellent choices.

Here's a place that sell's the Hypermax II for $1469 http://www.enduromotorsports.com/HKSDamperII.html

It will be daily driving weekend racer type of car. I will probably take my car to the track once or twice but nothing too aggressive.

im waiting for the tanabe pro ss type 2's to be released ... tanabe says they're dampened for the weekend racer type, and you can pick your own spring rates. id also check out silk road, the 240 guys love em.

a set of sways ... cusco.

i wouldnt get a 2 way lsd unless u want to drift ... stick with the nismo 1.5 way.

some kind of rear camber/toe arms

and a proper alignment and you're set i think
