These wheels weren't made for the 350Z specifically, don't know how much clearance is necessary, but perhaps a fitment for the Z would have more. My 3000GT VR4 had less clearance, stock and with aftermarket wheels.

Did you need spacers or anything to put it on? What about hubcentric rings? And what offsets are those wheels? It looks like the front ones are too high of an offset and don't go out enough...

Yeah, I noticed them too. The shop sits at a 4-way stop and while I was there, there were four or five customers that went by honkin' horns and barkin' gears.
Don't know the offset, it's obviously too high. I'm sure at some point SSR will supply proper offset and sizing without using spacers. I notice that Volks is offering 10.5" TE-37 and my experiment showed me that there should be plenty of room. The wheels are hubcentric using inserts.

Runn,
I'm no expert, and probably because of the turbos, the VR4 felt like it had less torque at low RPM. The Z feels stronger in the bottom of all gears, smoother, linear as you would expect.
But I won't kid you , I miss the boost. The two cars performance figures are real close but there's nothing like the feeling (and sound) of 2 turbos spooling up!
I bought the VR4 new in 91 and put 72K miles on before selling it about four months ago. I have less than 2k on the Z and have only pushed it a few times, my impressions may change with more time behind the wheel.
From the day I bought the VR4 and as long as I owned it, I loved the way it looked, the way it performed and the attention it got. I feel the same way about the Z, maybe even more.

Man, thats a good lookin setup, now I'm REALLY excited, I should be receiving my polished 3 piece Aero 5 spoke wheels from Intro-Forged any day now and the SO3's are also on the way. Should look similar, I will post some pics to compare as soon as they arrive on my Redline Z!!!
