Default VDC/ABS Malfunctioning!!! (Put new rims and wheels...proper size!)

so, i placed new rims and tires on because my VDC/ABS light was going on with 235/40/18F 255/40/18R...so my new stuff is 245/40/18F 275/40/18R (my new sig.)

now, the warning lights have come back on after a day with the new set up.

does a wider wheel base throw off VDC/ABS? I wanted to get some insight before I take it in to the dealership

also...if a front alignment is not done properly...can it cause vibration/humming noise from the side it was done wrong?

had a similar problem recently after dropping my car with B+G springs.

if you tripped a code with the old wheel set up, the new wheel set up is going to have the same problem. You have to go to Nissan to have them clear the error code. After that, your new wheel set up should be fine (unless the code is being generated by something else).

BTW, I have been running the same tire sizes you are now for a long time. Never had a VDC issue except for when I dropped the car. Code was cleared and my car has been happy ever since!

Thanks for the reply mcduck...finally someone is answering my questions.

I put on some incorrect tires about a month ago, which made my car drop about .35 inches...company's fault not mine...they didn't check...anyway, that's when all my problems started happening. Now the new setup is within OE specs.

Now only if i can get rid of that stupid humming noise from my front tire well...anyone hear of problems with Stop Tech brakes besides excessive shrieking and dust that could be causing the problem?

Uh,

I put a set of Tein Basics on my car and dropped it about and inch all around and the VDC has been fine.

I think your problem is elsewhere.
