A bit about Yokohama Original Wheel Designs.
Yokohama Original Wheel Designs are not as popular a choice amongst North American 350z/FairladyZ enthusiasts, but judging from it's exploits in Japanese stock racing organizations such as Super Taikyu, and with a variety of tuner shops and manufacturers using Yokohama wheels exclusively, it well should. These wheels are as JDM as you can get. Flip through the US magazines, you will not find them on Tire Rack, etc...
You can browse Yokohama Wheels at their Japanese website, or you can check out Mackin Industries' website, the official US distributor. Mackin also distributes Rays Wheels in the USA, as well as other JDM auto products.- The Yokohama Original Wheel Designs Japan Website.

The Advan Racing RGII and RS is manufactured with Enkei's M.A.T process.
The Advan Racing TCII and AVS Model T6 have a hollow core, and are some of the lightest wheels availble on the market.

C-West Labs' Super Taikyu cars, as well as their demo cars are almost always clad in Yokohama Wheels. All cars that compete in Super Taikyu run wheels that you can buy off the shelf, not center lock magnesium versions.
What is Super Taikyu?
It's a endurance racing series in Japan, based on Group N standards. Group N keeps modification limited.

Jun Auto produced the Option Stream Z that crashed and rolled over seven times in the Silver State Classic in Nevada. Wheels (TCII) look pretty good still. The top speed was a reported 248MPH, and crashed at roughly 150MPH.

I was thinking of picking up some RGII's or RS's. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the wheels will stick out beyond the fender if I remain at stock ride height seeing as how when the car is lowered the wheels tend to tuck inward because of our suspension geometry. I'm worried that the lack of a drop will cause the wheels to look silly. Seeing as how Advan wheels seem to be quite rare on this forum, it seems next to impossible to find Advan wheels on a Z with a stock ride height (I've tried).
My main focus here is to get some lightweight track 18 inchers for performance. Aesthetics come second so I'm not really as concerned with pushing the wheels way out to the corners and having extreme offsets.
Any help would be appreciated! Just want to be sure before I pull the trigger on a 3000 dollar wheel/tire setup.

Well my rims (rgs) looked so much better whn my car was lower. I since put coilovers on and they were set and aligned to a higher stance(
). When I get my exterior done I will bring her back down.
So yea lower it atleast a little.

The Z already has some negative camber with your stock suspension. My car only has a mild drop... again, a little more than 1/2" with a .6" drop in the front, and a little less than 1" drop in the rear with a .8" drop. When I got the car aligned, the camber was within Nissan's stock specs. The picture above is pretty much what you'll get with a stock suspension. Just make sure you get 9" wide front rims with +22 offset, and 10" wide rears with +25 offset. Beleive me, it'll look good.
