what difference does it make to have a staggered setup vs non-staggered setup?

1) able to rotate tires
2) car is much more neutral and reduce understeer
3) most fast G/Z on the track are square setup.

Ideally, I ran 265 35r18 R888 on them. The largest I ran is 275 35r18 NT-01 for 3 track events, but it is not recommended.
