Default New Z driver in the 757 area

Just wanted to officially introduce myself to this area. I just moved here from California. I drove the Z here and I am amazed how well the car did. The gas mileage was awesome. I got in one part of the trip 541 miles to one tank. My average was 28 mpg. Anyways, I'm going to be station on the USS G. W. Bush. I'm living right on the beach off Ocean View Ave. I have seen a lot of other Z here so it is cool to see that many. Some of you might have already seen me wave at you (I have a SS with Ohio plates). I actually see more here than were I was in Cali. My sig is pretty legit so don't hesitate to ask, but give me a few weeks so I can get situated and unpacked. I need to finish unpacking so I can wash my nasty looking, dead bug infected Z.

BTW, how do you guys with rims deal with the roads?

Hey you finally made it. How long do it take? Anyway as for dealing with roads, I know they suck here, but you just have to deal with it. I know one thing I'm not
putting on my coilovers here.

I took me 4 days to get here. I stopped in Ohio for 4 days to visit the in laws ans drop off the kids while me and the wife get the place ready for them.

Yeah it is nice to be back on the east coast.

This is a crappy area for rims. I've lived here my whole life (30 years) and there have ALWAYS been doing some sort of construction. And there are freakin speed bumps on the interstates!! After many many bent rims. I'm keeping my Z stock with stock rims. I love the look of aftermarket wheels, but i don't wanna take away from my driving enjoyment here by having to constantly be scanning for pot holes.

As for alignment i haven't had mine aligned yet. But if you go to Firestone, you can get lifetime alignments for like $100. Figure that's good cause then if you get diff tires, or do suspension work done, you can keep binging it back and it doesn't cost a penny!!

I realized that the only upgrading to my rims is going with the current 18's or the older track models. I want to keep a low pro look since I understanding this is the California of the East.

They should know how to get it on the ramps reguardless. All they need is a 2x4.
