Here's your next track car! This 2003 Track Z is in great condition, and has been meticulously cared for and serviced by a single owner. It comes with many extras, including extra wheels and track tires and a data acquisition system for recording track performance.

Condition

This car is in great shape and has no known problems. The exterior is virtually spotless and the interior is in excellent condition, with only slight wear on the left edge of the driver’s seat. It has been kept under cover. It comes with the original stock alloy wheels and like-new Bridgestone RE040s, plus extra wheels and tires described below.


Modifications

• No engine mods.
• The transmission has been replaced three times under warranty because of the well-known early synchronizer design problems. The last transmission was installed on 3/13/07, and has had less than 20,000 miles. I've had no absolutely problems with it.
  
• No suspension mods except for 350EVO sway bars, front and rear, installed 7/20/09. All else is stock and original. (Buyer will also get stock sway bars.)
  
• Roll bar and 6-point harness mounting points were installed by Piper Motorsports of Manassas, VA, in 2003 and 2004. (Harnesses are NOT included.)
  
• Airbag on-off switches installed for both seats, to prevent unnecessary deployment on track. (Switches can be left in active position for normal street driving.)
  
• Stoptech stainless steel brake lines, installed 9/25/11.
• Muffler was replaced 11/16/10 by Meineke. (No longer in warranty.)
• Battery is a brand new Sears DieHard, installed 1/19/13.

• Five (5) SSR lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels and spacers. (The stock TPMS sensors have been installed in the track wheels.)
  
• Eight (8) extra track tires: 6 Toyo RA1 and 2 R888 (all 275/40 ZR17) with plenty of life left in them.
  
• MaxQData MQ125 data acquisition system, with HP iPac Pocket PC, originally priced at about $1,000.

History

The car has performed beautifully for 100 track days, all HPDE, no racing. It has had NO track incidents. It has had NO damage to the body or frame. You will get complete -- and I mean COMPLETE -- service records, including notes on all work I did myself, as well as shop receipts.

About this car’s track time: when I bought the car I was 47 years old and had three years of track experience in a Miata and a 944T. I’m an instructor for NASA and Summit Point FATT, and I have always driven responsibly on track.

Since I always drove the car to and from tracks, coming home in one piece was always a top priority. I have treated the Z gently and focused on improving my driving skills, not tinkering with the car. This is why I have not modded the car, except for the sway bars.

What I’m saying is that I’m not a hotshot 22-year-old who beat his car to death on track, or took it to pieces and did heaven-knows-what to it. This car is still in excellent, virtually stock condition. I have been consistently amazed at the intense performance it has provided without problems or complaints.
