I used a soft rack last year with my 10' board. It wasn't good. Basically, I couldn't get the rack tight enough and the front of the board kept lifting up. I'm not sure that it can be done safely. In all of the last year in Hawaii, I saw a million Z's and G's, but I never saw one with a board on top. The closest I saw was a 3000GT which seemed to be doing pretty well with a board.

I tried doing the FCS soft rack on my Z with two boards and was shitting myself on the drive up to LA. I even had to duck tape the straps onto the roof which was dangerous for the paint. I would suggest just getting a shortboard with more volume in the Apex. I currently ride a 6'3 DFR with 32L of volume and it fits perfectly when the seat is reclined. But I just lost 10lbs and am going to get a 6'0! Happy shredding.

got to get a surfing rig, a van or truck man.
Keep the z sand free and clean and have a vehicle for each thing.
I have a 2500chevy for my "other" needs, or a bike or my wifes car, not the Z, lol.
