in connecticut? for a 16 year old driving a 350z? $100 a month? put the crackpipe down.

I'd prolly be 200 a month if not more. Probably more. probably a LOT more.

hell, let me quote that for here in FL. ......................

I'm 23 and I pay 200/mo. with Nationwide.

That's with a couple speeding tix.

My buddy with flawless driving record who is 20, pays more than me... $3600 a year to be exact.

hahahahahaha, 100-130?

try closer to at least 300+. and if u get a ticket its gonna be worse.

put the car in mom/dads name, and get on their policy. then put u as the driver to moms car. voila, problem solved.

Just remember; Insurance amount will not matter if you kill yourself in the Z.

I'm not one of the typical haters who hate on teens in the Z since I got mine at 21, but I know I've spun it out already (chancing death on I-95 in Baltimore) and gotten 2 speeding tickets...

Only now, after owning for 2 years and logging 40+k miles, have I become really comfortable in the vehicle.

^ Make that 2 speeding tickets and 1 careless driving...

Let that not distract from the topic however.

I live in PA, am 24, and had 2 or 3 speeding tickets since I was 16. I have State Farm with good coverage, rental coverage and full tourt (tort?) and I pay $176 a month.

EDIT: Being 16, if you get your own policy, you're probally going to be looking at $300+.

I'm in FL, I'm 23, fiancee is 6 mo. younger than me, we have the Z with 500ded comp/coll, good coverage, a 2002 golf with same cov and comp/coll, and we pay 260/month, no points, nothing on the MVR in the past 3 years.

connecticut is not a cheap insurance state. I'd expect you to pay something like 450+ per month. easily.

ALSO.....

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FULL COVERAGE!!!!

Full coverage means you have the MAXIMUM limits on EVERY possible available coverage you can buy. I highly doubt 99% of the people who claim full coverage have that. Please.....don't use that term! (I'm an insurance agent and I have to correct people constantly......)

when i was 16, i had a hand me down 99 i30, with 2 other cars in the family, my premium was 1700 bucks in los angeles with clean record. got a few speeding tickets and suspended license shot up to 2600. so a Z would prolly be more.

you guys have to realize, your zip code plays a huge factor in your rates, along with your age. He lives in one of the most expensive insurance states.

I live in CT 24yrs old clean record, and I get raped by the insurance company every month. IF they will even insure you, you are better off on someone elses insurance.
