Good to hear from you , Rouxeny . Unfortunately , Victor's wife passed away a few years ago. He has remarried to a wonderful gal . I saw him at a meet about a year ago . He's doing well and is still modding away like crazy .

Lots of familiar names from the old days. I wasn't a pre-order, but came in early on. I remember a lot of the discussions before the Z came in...exciting. My wife won't let me sell my Z, so It stays in the garage.

Its nice to see so many old familiar names.
I didn't think I would have my ZR this long. During the first 3 years I had to replace my soft top twice, replace my tranny, both window motors etc...
Then a funny thing happend. As soon as the warranty expired, the car has been perfect. Not one issue. I guess she wants to stay with me.

I'm glad Victor is doing ok. I left just about the time she passed away. If you see him, tell him I say hello.
This thread is making me really not want to sell the Z.

Yeah, the Z is currently in Hawaii. It's actually been shipped from LA to Hawaii, Hawaii back to San Francisco, then SF back to Hawaii, so it's quite the overseas traveller.
As much as I'd love to keep it, I only have a 2 car garage (have my "surf truck also) and it hasn't been often that I've grabbed the Z key instead of the M3 one recently. Also, I think the resale value of a 2003 Z isn't going to be helped when the new 370Z comes out.
One of the biggest differences between it and the M3 is how small and bunker-like the view from the Z is. You sit so low, the windows are so high up, it's pretty cool. The cars are fairly close in size, but the Z feels so much smaller. I will really miss it.

I think my pic is from an earlier meet, one that Victor organized and we had in a parking lot somewhere. Can't say I'm certain though.
I did go to, and do remember, that Bob Sharp meet. Fun!

Rouxeny! How's it going? You were a resident way back in the day. I assume you are now done and in practice? You were in general surgery were you not?
Cheston, good to hear from you! Been a long time.
SCAF! I can't believe its you! Where have you been? Where are you now? Don't leave us man!

Wow! This thread is awesome! I remember the night I took delivery in October 02. I was the first Z in town!! Was a good run, kept her for a year, got tired of the feathering/tranny/rattling problems, then went to the "dark side" for a Corvette. Good to see you're ok Bonz and you guys take care!!

Since this thread was brought back to life I just thought I'd take the opportunity to say Hey to everyone I'll be coming back to L.A. next Tuesday and will be there most of August working a show. Let's see if I get spotted!
