The way to gain speed is lose weight and/or gain power. Pick up a set of Track edition rims. They are extremely light (18.1 and 18.9 lbs F and R respectively), and not too expensive and that will help with acceleration. Replacing the seats with fixed back fiberglass units are not too expensive and much lighter. If you remove your spare tire/jack/tools and keep a can of Fix-a-flat, that will lose about 30-40 lbs of dead weight. Drop in a K & N air filter, better Y pipe, intake plenum spacer, freer flowing muffler (lighter weight), and get an ECU reflash. These mods increase power and won't break the bank.

That would work, until you roll up to a similarly bolted 370 or g37. Then youll be in the same boat you are now. Losing weight is a good idea though.
