Default Not sure what this part is but I need one...

So I know there is a part thread but after going through several pages, I'm at a loss. I don't know what the thing is called to even search for it. Basically what happened is I was not used to the low profile tires when I got the car, so I was checking the outside tread (big mistake obviously). Driving down the highway, heard a weird noise (no weird driving to go with it oddly enough), got out and checked and the sidewall was the only thing still on the rim; the rest was just kind of there. Unfortunately, the sound was coming from the tire rubbing on the small piece attached to the fender; it's a cosmetic part that goes behind the rear wheels on both sides (2008 Base model 350Z). I tried using Nissan's parts database to find it but according to them it apparently doesn't exist (or possibly you have to replace the fender to get it, even though it bolts on separately). Does anyone know whether I can get this part by itself, and if so, what it is called? It doesn't bother me that much so I'm not in a hurry or anything, but I would like to replace it eventually because if you know it's supposed to be there, it looks odd that it isn't. Here's a picture of the part before I had to take it off (tried to find it on the internet actually and I can't seem to find any other Zs that have it lol)

Thanks in advance and sorry if this is not the right place for this.

You serious? It's a mud flap bud. I can't fathom how a quick search did not turn up dozens of results for this, but ok.

What I think is funny is from the moment I read the part where you explain what you are looking for I was thinking mud flap, thankfully you added a pic cause meanwhile reading the post it was seeming as if you didn't post a pic. I'm sure you would've gotten the correct answer either way but the pic helped

Yes, it is a mud flap, and yes they are probably very useful, I wouldn't know, but I know the non mud flap side and it gets pretty dirty there without one...

I want to thank everyone for their help. I honestly never would have guessed that that was what it was (which is why it was so hard to find out what it was), since it's hard and when I think mud flap, I think of the things on semis. Anyway, I don't know much about cars and am working my way up from zero knowledge so I apologize for the ignorant question.

They're listed on my window sticker (and at Courtesy Parts under exterior accessories) as splash guards.
