Wheel hard to turn after doughnuts
Like title says, steering is hard when stopped but not when moving. I Checked ps fluid It's not low, thinking either ps pump or rack and pinion. I was side swiped awhile back, they replaced outer tie rod, upper control arm and rim. Steering began acting up after that, started getting noisy when turning but not much else. Months later it is really hard to turn from a stand still. I'm sure the doughnuts didn't help. I would really appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

I blew my power steering when I was a pimply faced ahole 17 year old delivering pizzas and doing donuts in a snowy parking lot in my 87s10 4x4... Tried to get the rest of the night off but my boss offered me his truck... Apparently it's hard finding dudes to deliver pizzas in snow storms... I never fixed that ****... Eventually the clutch went and the body rusted off

This would be an issue on all cars. Think about the dynamics of a car while its in motion... Is it easier to push a sled from a dead stop, or one that is already moving slightly, no matter the speed?
My Z's power steering feels way "harder" than my c6 corvette.. but I think the Z's just need to be rolling to get the tires to turn easier. Another factor is your front wheel/tire size and alignment.

Thank you, that was what i was thinking, rebuild the pump and go from there. It's either that or the r&p. In the close to 4 years I've owned my Z I've done doughnuts 3 or 4 times. Does anyone know if pump and r&p from a g fit the Z?
