The domestics have been successful with offering two versions of their platforms. I don't see any reason why Nissan can't offer both a fuel efficient NA V6 and also a turbo version. Nissan seems to be stuck on stupid in this regard.

I think a new 4 cylinder motor should be reserved for a revival of the S-chassis to compete against the BRZ and FR-S. The time is right to bring back the S-chassis.
Couldn't agree more, and that was what I was kinda going for in my last post. A turbo 4 to compete with the Toyobaru and even into the WRX markets. Nissan just doesn't seem to understand it's falling behind in the enthusiast market. With the economy the way it is, the Z is not really the "affordable" sports car they claim it to be, but there really isn't anything else close to it in terms of a tuner car. A sporty tunable mid range S Chassis would fit that bill perfectly. Toyota really had it right with there Tc series.

Meanwhile, a more powerful better tuned Z with options would keep it on par with what domestic companies have already embraced.
