very informative posts guys!
My question is, if you are using one tank for gasoline and e85, how will the overall system change its tune to work with the specific octane that will result from mixing gasoline and e85. One video that i saw used a ProEFI to accommodate this. Heres the video actually:

We aren't changing fuel tanks or using two fuel tanks, it's the single OEM fuel tank. To switch between fuel grades you must empty the tank and then fill your tank with the desired fuel. Then with your AccessPORT, change your tune to the appropriate map for whatever fuel you dumped in. Of course you will never get 100% of the fuel out of the tank so there is some mixing, but as long as you run your car down to almost empty and then fill it, we have not seen any detrimental effects to SLIGHT mixing. However, mixing 1/4 tank of E85 gasoline, would be too much etc. Basically, there is no fuel sensor like there would be on true flex fuel cars. It's like changing between pump fuel and C16, You wouldn't want to run your C16 map on a pump/C16 mix and visa versa.

Cobb not trying to bring your competitor up but with up-rev do you think it would be feasible to have one map for e85 and one for pump gas? Also do you think I would notice much gain with e85 on a NA bolt on Hr car? I was considering it awhile ago but not sure just would like your input.

Very nice. Now slap on some bigger injectors, bigger piping, more boost, and you'll either have:
a. 800HP
b. Blown turbos
c. Blown engine
d. All of the above
Hopefully just 'A' though.

he already told you, yes but you 'll need to drain your tank between swapping fuels.....

Will you make more power? Maybe. It all depends on your setup and your tuner. The problem with any NA engine is increasing airflow, so unless you are drastically increasing VE with cams and high-compression pistons etc. There isn't much point to increasing octane if peak power is what you are after. That said, this isn't something we have done any testing on, so I am just theorizing. Perhaps if you were to add in lots of ignition advance you might see some gains with the higher-octane fuel.
