GT-R vs. Bentley Continental Supersports (Part II of MotorTrend GTR Battles)
Interesting Match Up....
Both have similar power to weight but go about it in completely different ways...

Horsepower--------------621 hp vs. 485 hp
Torque------------------590 lb-ft vs. 434 lb-ft
Curb weight (dist f/r)----4993 lb (59/41%) vs. 3885 lb (55/45%)
Weight to power---------8.0 lb/hp for both

The way that bentley shot outta the hole, I thought the GTR was toast with the 100+ hp, but I guess the weigh has a bigger impact than I thought. Anyhow, good to see Nissan hold it down!

And to the above comment, while it would be interesting to see how they would do on a track I doubt the Bentley would put up a better challenge then it did on the drag strip. Again weight would come into play, the GTR would win.

bentleys have always been that way. ettore bugatti called the bentley blowers "the worlds fastest trucks" (i guess he was mad that bentley beat him at le man several years in a row)

The Bentleys actually handle pretty well or their size. But it's best feature is straightline stability and speed. I haven't driven a car more stable than the Flying Spur.
