Default Poll: how many roadster owners go out for pure "pleasure drives"

I sometimes get up early on sunny weekend mornings and take my ZR out for some top-down blasts down the extensive nextwork of incredible back country roads near where I live. No purpose to this other than the sheer enjoyment of my vehicle. Anyone else do this?

Me too!

Since my Z isn't my daily driver, any trip is a pleasure trip!

Just did an 8+ hour cruise yesterday with no destination at all. Open air crusing is what it's all about, isn't it? July 1st through the 10th doing a road trip to Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and anywhere else in the S.W. for the sole intension of driving My Z.

I drive my ZR to work most days and get up extra early just so I can put the top down (it gets hot early in June in Tucson) and find an alternative way to work on some little-used routes. It's the most pleasurable way I can think of to begin my day.
Weekends, this time of year, require the same early-bird routine. Then, I find the backroad twisties and really have fun.

Just about every day I go for a drive down town to 7-11 and back. Sure...there's a 7-11 about a mile from my house but that's no fun. LOL

Sometimes I put the top down from work to home. Just about every weekend I go for a pleasure drive. I crank up some smooth jazz and I tell you it is almost therapuetic especially when the weather is cooperating at 72 degrees with a mild breeze. Fantastic!

I just went for one yesterday morning. Sun rising, top down, just a little dew on the grass and a cool breeze. Silence throughout the air, except for the whine of my SC on boost.

Sometimes the drives start as peaceful but the very rarely stay that way for long, they are always relaxing (even at 100+).

A little "me" time on the back roads with the top down is keeps me emotionally stable! Just me, the road, nature and of course, the exhaust note.

Frequently!
And every Sunday we take a day trip somewhere (1.5 to 3 hours away).

Always. weekend morning runs to...well, anywhere, weekend trips to...well, anywhere. Any excuse...take the long way to work, all backroads...that's what this car is all about. Funny...in any other car, it's about point a to point b. in the roadster, it's everything about what's in between. The world would be a better place if everyone had a roadster!

all the time, I drive it also to work and back. Feel guilty about all the miles but what the heck might as well enjoy. Has anyone tinted their Roadster windows, wondering about the little window in the back

Another roadster from Houston huh? What color is your roadster? My windows are tinted, the back window as well, but it was done by the dealer.

Yeh, just bought it about a month ago, used 04 7k miles. Love it. Nismo exhaust and CAI. Want to tint the windows but have not seen one on the road with tint. Not sure who to take it to. Silverstone how about you.
